Описание
MILC school is a modern bilingual school with a proprietary curriculum, where we believe that art is not just a subject — it's a way of thinking, seeing, and expressing oneself. We are seeking an experienced native-speaking Art Teacher who will inspire our students to discover their creative voice, develop visual literacy, and build portfolios that open doors to the world's top art universities.
About the Position:
You will teach Visual Arts to students Grades 6-12, working across traditional and contemporary media. Our school operates on a bilingual model with an author-designed curriculum that integrates the rigor of classical art education with the experimental spirit of contemporary practice.
Responsibilities:
- Teach Visual Arts in strict accordance with our proprietary bilingual curriculum.
- Prepare students for international examinations: IB Visual Arts (SL/HL) and A Level Art & Design (Fine Art, Graphic Communication, Photography, Textiles, or 3D Design).
- Guide students in developing cohesive bodies of work for their portfolios, including Comparative Studies (IB) and Personal Investigation (A Level).
- Teach a range of media and techniques: drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography, digital art, and mixed media.
- Integrate art history and theory into practice, helping students contextualize their work within cultural and historical frameworks.
- Organize student exhibitions, art shows, and participate in school-wide creative events.
- Prepare students for admission to international art universities (portfolio development, interview preparation).
- Conduct lessons actively using interactive whiteboards and multimedia materials for art history, technique demonstrations, and virtual museum tours.
- Maintain records and communicate with students and parents through our internal electronic journal system.
- Manage the art studio: inventory of materials, safety protocols, and maintenance of equipment.
- Support the English-speaking environment at school: participate in school events, art clubs, and cross-curricular projects.
